Description
The Clementine flower is a cross of the Sativa strains Tangie X Lemon Skunk. Cannabis breeders formulated Lemon Skunk by combining two skunk phenotypes with robust citrusy and lemony flavours. These genetics are apparent in the Clementine strain, which has a citrusy, sweet, lemony-orange taste. Cannabis breeders produced Clementine at Crockett Family Farms. At the Cannabis Cup in Michigan in 2015, a concentrated live resin of Clementine won second place in the Best Sativa category.
Appearance & Aroma
Considerably large flowers of Clementine taper down from their bases into pointed, almost conical buds. The elongated flowers have the standard Sativa bud structure, in which the fluffy and thin leaves adhere loosely to their central stems. The leaves themselves are yellowish-green with brown pistils threaded through. Hazy, translucent trichomes give these buds a white cast and make them challenging to break up without using a grinder. When correctly cured, the flowers of Clementine have a sweet citrus aroma. Breaking apart or grinding the flowers yields more of a diesel fragrance. Clementine burns with a smooth, lung-expanding smoke. Upon exhale, this smoke leaves behind the faintly chemical aftertaste of lemon-scented cleaning products.
Effects & Benefits
The high of this Sativa bud takes hold swiftly, although it doesn’t have the cerebral intensity that comes with some other Sativas. Instead, users might feel more attuned and perceptive to their surroundings. As they come down from the high peak, users may find themselves focusing their attention on abstract concepts and engaging in creative thought and problem-solving. The Clementine strain also works with more mundane activities like cleaning the house or running errands. A slight sense of physical relaxation and decreased tension can pull users down to earth if overpowered by cerebral, recursive thinking. An ideal wake-and-bake strain, Clementine may not be the best flower to smoke before bedtime, as it can leave users overstimulated or alert.
It can also offer some psychological benefits for medical users. For example, its substantial mood enhancement may relieve the symptoms of depression and stress, supporting users to exercise their energy more deliberately and mindfully. Its clearheaded capacity for focus can also be suitable for those with attention deficit disorders.
