Appearance & Aroma
This strain stands out with large, well-formed buds clinging together in formations ranging from tapered and elongated to spherical. The leaves are a darker shade of forest green and threaded through vibrant amber and rust-coloured pistils. Furthermore, Ray Charles’ extraordinary flowers are crowned with a layer of icy white trichomes. These flowers make their Indica heritage known with compact, closely-packed buds and small leaves.
The following whiff unveils some astringent, almost chemical odours. When optimally cured, the buds of Ray Charles give off a sour-sweet funk, somewhat like fertilizer or compost. When grinding the buds, they give off a rich, hashy smell reminiscent of Afghani. Upon combustion in a joint or pipe, Ray Charles emits harsh smoke that may make users cough or their eyes water.
